Sustainable Blue Economy Conference (SBEC) Nairobi, Kenya - November, 2018
The Sustainable Blue Economy Conference took place in Nairobi, Kenya - Hosted by Canada, Kenya, and Japan with over 184 countries, 18,000 participants, 200 speakers, heads of states, policy makers - and more.
It was the first of it's kind and brought together individuals from around the world to work towards a prosperous and inclusive Blue Economy in alignment with the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals - a call to action to make change.
This panel took place in Taifa hall at the University of Nairobi under the Youth Event: "Job Creation, Employment, and Poverty Reduction; The nexus between exploitation and conservation for a sustainable blue economy." Taylor spoke on the importance of social enterprise within your company, the positive impacts of Mermaid Fare™ initiatives throughout local communities in the Canadian Maritimes, and supply chain diversity.
